What is Spirituality?

At Ketter we welcome everyone, no matter your background, your previous spiritual practice or religion, or if you don’t feel spiritual at all.

Our retreats are secular and not based on religious dogma. We draw inspiration from diverse spiritual contexts, especially our own Jewish heritage, as a means of relating to life.

Ketter (כתר), meaning “crown” in Hebrew, is the paramount quality on the Tree of Life in Kabbalah, the Jewish mystical tradition. It exists beyond intellect and emotion. Connected to the infinite and the unknowable, it still symbolizes the unity of all things.

For us, Ketter can be seen as a symbol of the peak of inner growth, enlightenment, and transformation. This reflects what many seek through psilocybin: a deeper sense of self-awareness, a sense of connectedness, and a renewed alignment with what feels true and essential. To us, it also speaks to reclaiming one’s inner authority, self-worth, and spiritual strength.
